“Preserved in Salt” is a Himalayan salt mask representing the dual preservation and erasure of Black identity through oceanic passages. The salt embodies both preservation and the tears of ancestors, while the radiating fibers portray the resilience and spiritual energy expanding outward from historical trauma toward healing.
