What Tasanee Art is About
Heals. Every painting starts with something I had to survive. Salt embedded in wet paint. Raffia pressed into linen. Materials that hold memory. When someone stands in front of one of these works and goes quiet, I know they found themselves in it.

About Tasanee
I'm Tasanee Durrett, a painter and licensed architect based in Orlando, Florida. My work is rooted in African diasporic heritage and the inner lives of Black women. I've shown in private and public institutions like the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, Mennello Museum and the Mint Museum (to name a few!), painted a public mural commissioned by the City of Orlando and Bloomberg Philanthropies, and I'm a Goldman Sachs 1 Million Black Women fellow.But none of that is why I paint.What I offer for commercial projects.
