It All Begins Here

These are the paintings. All of them — available, collected, and in public spaces.

I work in layered acrylic on linen, pressing salt, raffia, and silkworm cocoons into the surface while it's still wet. The materials aren't decorative. Salt fractures as it dries, the same way grief does. Raffia is woven, communal, ancient. Silkworm cocoons are transformation made visible. Every piece carries the evidence of how it was made and why.

The work is rooted in the Black feminine interior — the emotional, spiritual, and cultural inner life that doesn't always get painted. These aren't portraits. They're witnesses.
