Having completed her initiation into womanhood, she stands with closed eyes and a proud bearing, gazing toward the Welwitschia Mirabilis, which is a Namibian plant known for never shedding its leaves, even as it releases pollen into the earth. This piece holds two sheddings side by side: a woman stepping into her strength, and a plant releasing what it no longer needs.
